Pop rock band OneRepublic donated 100,000 US dollars to help Berlin attack victims
OneRepublic, US-American pop rock band from Colorado, shows solidarity with the victims of the Berlin terror attack. The group’s Good Life Foundation donated the money to WEISSER RING, Germany’s victim support non-profit organisation, to help the families of the Berlin attack victims.
The musicians, fronted by Ryan Tedder, visited the Christmas market that was attacked the night before the attack, which killed 12 people and injured 48, some of them seriously. The band tweeted: “Our thoughts go out to all the families of the victims at the Christmas Market in Berlin. We were at that market last night. So so sad.”
Horst Hinger, deputy federal executive director of WEISSER RING, is very grateful for the popular band’s donation. OneRepublic is known worldwide and can have a big impact. Their engagement and solidarity can encourage others to help crime victims.
Ryan Tedder told Rolling Stone: „We hope these funds can help rebuild the lives of those affected by the Berlin attack and encourage everyone to help in any way they can.”
In Germany, OneRepublic has been successful from the beginning. With every album released their fame increased throughout the world. Now they count among the pop rock giants of our times. They have sold more than 12 million albums and more than 41 million singles. To name but a few: „Stop And Stare“, „Secrets“, „All The Right Moves“, „Good Life“ und „Love Runs Out“.
Thank you for your huge support.
